Dolph's Letter #98

Dear Sweetheart -

Well honey, for a change I shan't be getting any mail for a while.

Why - well I took the opportunity when I was to be "profiled" - a system whereby the Army describes you physically - head, arms, heart, etc. - (everyone has to be profiled) to tell the doc about my ear.

So, thank goodness, for once a doc in the Army was interested, + also big enough to admit that he wasn't an otologist. Therefore he took me to the Evacuation Hospital to be examined by an ear specialist here. Well - he decided to ship me on to a General Hospital for more tests + study. Then, not only will the Army, but I too will know the score.

I am writing this from the Evacuation Hospital + expect to be here a few days + then on to the General Hospital, probably in France.

Of course I am well, + you can be sure pleased to know that I shall get at the bottom of this ear condition which of course is nothing to worry about + why shouldn't I avail myself of the Army's facilities.

I hope you are well honey. Please keep writing to the old address till I send you another - this may take a little while - the Army can be slow.

I love you.

Your devoted husband
Dolph
