Dolph's Letter #24

Dear Sweetheart —

Well dear, how do you feel today?

Still no mail + I don't like that, but can't do anything about it. I'd give a lot to hear from you — of course it's not your fault, for I'm sure you are writing (don't be discouraged about the mail dear, for it will get to me + probably when I need it more than even now), + what would I give to be home with you in my arms.

You may be sure we are hurrying the current drive hoping for a decisive breakthrough. Well, it can't end too soon.

Did some censoring this morning, + took a walk this afternoon. Pretty soft. The weather isn't too much to talk about — Be glad when Spring really comes.

Tell me dear — how is our home coming along? I have been here — but I just haven't been where there are nice farms. Of course what I saw in Scotland was beautiful — but in my tour, I saw the countryside nicely + those lanes — several families at that — It would be swell if we could have a nice bit of acreage to go with the house. See there is so much for us to decide together + I am so anxious to start in.

Please take good care of yourself sweetheart. Know that my thoughts are ever with you — I love you.

Your devoted husband,
Dolph
