Dolph's Letter #32

Dear Sweetheart —

How are you darling? Everything coming along all right? Work interesting?

Well it's another beautiful day — and a day nearer the end of the war.

Taking it easy + that's about all.

Last night we played a little poker — the Capt. + the officers of this company. Had a little fun + won 200 francs. Of course the important thing — time was passed.

Everyone asks — Why don't they give up?

The only answer I can arrive at, is that the Nazis are in complete control + they personally have everything to lose. Naturally I am hoping for them to be overthrown by an internal revolution — expedite matters. Otherwise it shall just have to be more military defeats for them, ruin + devastation of their land + suffering. The longer they continue the greater the punishment.

Well dear nothing much of interest to write except I think of you always + love you more than I can describe.

Your devoted husband,
Dolph
