Convalescent Hospital, France
Dolph's Letter #33

Dear Sweetheart —

How are you dear? How are things going?

They brought me back here to a convalescent hospital which is a break. My arm doesn't bother me, but they want it to completely heal + get a bit of a rest. Every day I spend here is so much gravy.

Of course there isn't anything to do — which doesn't make me mad, for I'd just as lief take it easy.

Facilities here aren't much, but there is a different movie each night + right now I am in the red cross room.

Most of these fellows — in fact all — have a story to tell + don't need much encouragement to tell it.

It's a beautiful day — Spring — + I can't but think how wonder-ful it will be to spend such a day with you. As a matter of fact any + all days with you can't help but be marvelous. I love you so much dear thinking of you + the happiness we had + shall have again together is the most pleasant occu-pation! I am so much in love with you — my dream girl, the girl of my desires. And let's not forget the nights we had + shall have together — I need you said a month...... At least!

Take it easy dear, + take care of yourself.

Love — all I am capable of

Your devoted husband,
Dolph
