Dolph's Letter #38
Dear Sweetheart
How is my ever loving wife today? I hope you are getting along all right + as happy as can reasonably be expected under the circumstances.
Listened to the radio this morning — but it difficult to find any good music + when you do — the others in the room are so damned intolerant they either switch stations, make remarks or noise + there you are. Well right now there is really nothing to be done about it, + I guess I don't really feel imposed upon — for I still am so aware of my good luck that nothing really bothers me.
Happy to hear about the drive in the north. Course the radio couldn't tell us much, but it appears to be the main event. I hope so + and pray good fortune attends it.
Wasn't too nice earlier in the morning but it has cleared + so the Air Corps can give assistance.
Went to the movies last night + saw Bride by Mistake. Enjoyed it.
And so another has passed, bringing us one day nearer — the end of this holocaust. I hope you haven't forgotten what I look like — it seems such a long, long time since I held you in my arms. Each day I take another look at my picture of you — glad I had them on my person. You are constantly in my thoughts — if fact you are my thoughts. I am so much in love with you dear — for are my everything Jeanne.
Please take good care of yourself + know that under any + all circumstances I am
Your devoted husband
Dolph
