Air Mail Stationery — France Dolph's Letter #39

Dear Sweetheart —

How are you dear? Everything all right?

Been keeping myself pretty busy not doing much — you know the usual.

But this evening shall be different. I am going into town with other Jewish soldiers & officers for a Passover Service & meal. Shall have matzos thank you. Isn't that something! It'll be good & I don't know whether I'll be able to have matzos after to-night — but at least I'll have it for one meal. Can't expect the Army to serve matzos can we?

You know it will be like an adventure going to town — highly unusual to get out of the hospital.

Well dear that's all the news for now except — Jean — I miss you so much, but I am afraid if I keep telling you that you'll think I love you. And dear — love you is an understatement for ye my life.

Keep well precious & know my love for you is a flame inside me.

Your devoted husband, Dolph
