Air Mail Stationery — France Dolph's Letter #43

Dear Sweetheart —

Another day nearer you dear. The very thought of you makes me feel so good.

I hope you are well dear and every thing is going along smoothly.

I was paid yesterday. The way it works here in E.T.O. finance deducts your meals at .75 a meal — just what the Gov't gives us & it is taken out for the previous month.

Well it turned out after my other deductions that I received 68. So I shipped, P.T.A. (Personal Transfer Account), $48.00 to you at 6.19. I kept $20 & it will be used for PX rations etc. & a little for poker.

Still lounging around & also went to the movies last night. Saw "My Friend Wolf." Turned out to be a good picture (R.K.O.) & so was agreeably surprised.

Of course there isn't much to do & in my reading I came across a digest of an article from Fortune which we'd both be interested in — "The House of Tomorrow" — Fortune April 45. Very interesting and seems to me we just can't help but have a lovely home. A home — that is different from a house — I know positively our home shall be wonderful, couldn't help but be it with you there. I love you so very much Jean dear. You are constantly in my thoughts — enriching my very being.

Take good care of yourself beautiful. I am with you constantly.

Your devoted husband, Dolph
