Germany — Red Cross Stationery Dolph's Letter #58
Dear Sweetheart —
Nothing much to say dear. No stationery at the PX so I picked this up from the office — they got it from the Red X.
Not too happy about where I am now — the same place in the replacement depot — but its boring as all get out. Of course I'm not being shot at, which is some- thing to be thankful for, but with the end of the war so near — it must be just about over — I'd prefer to be with the outfit. Who knows just what is the best thing to do. Guess I'll just stay as is + see what happens. Why ask for it?
Not too nice a day — sun isn't out but not really bad. Guess if the sun were out I'd be more cheer- ful. What the dickens.
Are you really all right sweet? This absence of mail is bad. I can just hope + pray you are well. I love you so much that if anything adverse were to happen to you I just don't know what I'd do. You will take good care of yourself dear, won't you.
Keep your chin up dear (it's a cute chin, you know). I adore you.
Your devoted husband, Dolph
