Dolph's Letter #86

Dear Sweetheart -

Well dear your "old man" did a little celebrating last night. For no good reason except the five of us thought we owed ourselves a treat. So we pooled what we had - 2 2/3 quarts of Scotch + went to it. It was the first time I have done any real kind of drinking here. A release.

Well it's been a very busy day for me. I got a brainstorm on how to give the men - all of them - a shower each day. Talked the Captain + A. Colonel into it - goes into effect tomorrow. (It's good!)

Talking about my work, my boss, the Captain, said that if this organization stays here + expands a bit he will endeavor to obtain me as his assistant, if I wanted to. Didn't take me long to accede, but it's really nothing to count on. - Just one of those things which would be the break.

Had a shower tonight + feel very refreshed. It's really warm.

I hope you are well honey. I love you so much.

Your devoted husband,
Dolph.

Enclosed are a couple of Stars + Stripes we received yesterday.
