Dolph's Letter #80

Dear Sweetheart -

How are you today dear?

It's been wanting to rain, but just can't get around to it here. Been rather warm - really comfortable.

I forgot to tell you yesterday, that when I was in Nuremberg I visited the Zeppelin Stadium wherein a G.I. posed at the rostrum Hitler used for a newsreel picture, which was erroneously labeled as the Nuremberg Stadium. You probably saw it. Well the Nuremberg Stadium is at the other end of the city - didn't see it, nor the beginnings of still a third stadium which was to be 2 square miles - but it must be really something for the Zeppelin Stadium was very impressive + it was a Hitler Youth Stadium + was used just once a year for a rally. A lot of drama in this here Germany - but of a tragical nature.

Thought I'd enclose a Stars + Stripes which you should find very interesting. What do you think of the Jap peace rumors?

Still hanging around but should be on orders today + then await transportation. Very trying + boring. Went to a movie last night - saw Winged Victory. Hard to remember that Edmund O'Brien who took the part a Jewish boy from Brooklyn was but a few years ago a very slim, good looking fellow who had the "love part" in the Hunchback of Notre Dame - remember? He couldn't help his getting heavy so had to readjust himself. I used to know someone (? don't remember whom) who knew him quite well.

Quiet here darling - shall try to find some reading material this afternoon.

Take good care of yourself honey. I live just for you.

Your devoted husband,
Dolph
