Dolph's Letter #91

Dear Sweetheart -

It's been a beautiful day because the rain yesterday dissipated most all the clouds. Funny though, the clouds during the rain storm were very low, making at least two thirds of the mountain. After the rain, we saw that the clouds had precipitated snow upon the mountains. Beautiful + the snow looks just like sugar from here.

Last night the officers had a party celebrating the Battalion Commander's receipt of his Lt. Colonelcy. Plenty to drink, for a change, + also Ice Cream. Delicious. Played a little bridge later in the evening, not a good game because the other 3 players weren't good players, but a game of bridge.

Come back to my billet early - rather - + so another was completed which brings us another day nearer each other.

Looking at 21 May Newsweek I see that this Field Marshall whose home I sell it in was the one who contained the fighting in Austria + Czechoslovakia a few days after the capitulation - Schorner. Looks like Italy to tried + therefore a little longer I'd like write. Join as in Dreamland.

Your devoted husband
Dolph
