Happy Halloween!

Worked again tonight until 1845 – had supper & then walked home 'cause it was such a nice night. Golly I wish you could have been with me. I miss you so very much.

Do they celebrate Halloween in France? I wonder if you've been transferred yet – & where to? I hope it's home –

Nothing much new here. An Admiral, a Col & a whole inspection party is supposed to visit Friday – a little bird told us the secret & we're working like mad to get the place shipshape. I have a girl doing my accounting work – the male officers have two of them volunteered to help – one asked me for a date & of course I told him NO – I think the two of them will do fine together.

Am anxiously waiting to hear where the Army is transferring you to.
