Somewhere on the Eastern Seaboard

Dear Sweetheart —

We're still at sea. And that's about all I can say.

However, this ship has turned out to be a rather nice set-up. Good food, comfortable quarters, plenty of salt air & exercise & lots of sleep. Yes, this part of the trip is all right.

I'm looking forward to the end of this voyage, of course, for with each day the time of our reunion draws closer.

I think of you continually, dear. You are my guiding star. Your presence is with me always & I carry on with you ever in mind.

This ship is quite large & the sea is rather calm. The weather is cool & agreeable.

Take good care of yourself, dear. I love you more than words can express.

Your devoted husband,
Dolph
