Dear Sweetheart —

How is my lovely wife today? Everything going along all right?

Not doing much of anything here. Played bridge last night until quite late — 12:30 —. So it goes.

How are your days & nights patterned? It's fortunate you are with a nice bunch of girls. I am sure that tho some of them might have been transferred that you would readily make friends with the new ones. They couldn't but help like you.

At present I'm with a few Irishmen. Nice fellows — They opened a day room for the officers & installed a bar to serve beer, use a pump — a regular tire pump — to make the beer less flat — doesn't help much. The beer just isn't much good — a glass or two is plenty. At least it's something.

Well dear did you know I love you, love you so much that just thought of you excites me.

Please take good care of yourself. I love you;

Your devoted husband, Dolph
